Our focus is on modernizing diagnostic and therapeutic methods in optometry and ophthalmology. We are currently developing a virtual eye examination procedure that allows a rapid determination of defective vision of the human eye (e.g. myopia or hyperopia) and is carried out independently by the patient. Your task is to transfer the test concept into code.

Your tasks:

• • as the lead developer, you are responsible for the entire development cycle of our software (design, implementation and testing)
  • you will work closely with our team with extensive optometric expertise and many years of experience in research and development
  • you take over the initial requirements analysis for the software together with us
  • you will develop the software architecture and write the source code
  • you carry out software tests for error analysis and quality control

Your profile:

• • successfully completed scientific studies, e.g. computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or similar.
  • excellent programming skills in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib)
  • interest in other programming languages that you already know or would like to learn in the future (C++, Java, Julia)
  • optional: experience in machine learning and web development
  • fluent German (C1+) and good written and spoken English skills (B2+)
  • pleasure in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • reliable and structured working style
  • very good analytical skills and high abstraction ability
  • independent way of working and high motivation for further development in your field
